SurgiVet Endoscopic Flushing Catheters. The catheter is endoscopically guided for the lavaging of lungs or the guttural pouch to remove debris. The guttural pouch is a large air-filled sac in the narrow channel that connects the nasopharynx to the middle ear in the horse. The paired sacs cause swelling in the region below the ear when distended. Several large vessels and nerves run over this area and are susceptible to disease of the pouch. This is usually a quick procedure where the catheter is not left it. Visual indicators at 2.5, 5 and 7.5cm from the distal tip aid in introduction. PTFE catheter. Sterile.
